Teachings of saint Myoe

Myoe's maxim: "Do what is appropriate"

The monk Myoe, founder of Kozanji, said famously, "Do what is appropriate." That is, ask yourself how you should behave in line with the time and circumstances and act accordingly. We at Kozanji put great store by these words. We hope worshippers will take this teaching to heart upon their visit.
